Welcome to the site for the Kern County Chapter of the American Payroll Association, founded July, 2016. We are committed to training, mentoring, providing classes for Certification in the profession of payroll, and providing philanthropic opportunities to our members.

Informational Payroll Resources

KCCAPA has secured Zoom for our webinar format beginning with our February presentation. This platform will allow us to hold consistent meetings with more flexibility and options.

Registration for the monthly zoom presentations will be $10 per attendee. RCH credits will be available to those who take the quiz after each meeting with a score of 80% or higher per APA guidelines.

March 19, 2021, Governor Newsome approved SB 95: COVID-19 supplemental paid sick leave

Click here to read the SB-95 Bill Text on the COVID-19 supplemental paid sick leave. This bill will allow 80 hours of sick pay to employers with 25 or more employees for COVID-related illness and vaccination time off. This bill was approved March 19th, retroactive to January 1, 2021 and expires September 30th.
