Benefits of Membership
Membership is $50 per year for up to two individuals from the same organization
The Kern County Chapter of the APA is dedicated to providing the following benefits to our Members:

Education:

Members receive a discounted registration

Monthly Meetings which provide relevant and engaging presentations to advance the knowledge of the payroll professional.

Study Groups – CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) and FPC (Fundamentals of Payroll Certificate) Study Groups will be offered to assist payroll professionals in becoming Certified in their field of expertise. Mentors and teachers who have their CPP and FPC designations may participate to earn RCH credits toward retaining their certifications and assist others to become certified

Affiliation with National APA. Promote, Support, and Contribute to the National American Payroll Association by employing the following:

Expose members to National Resources

Promote attendance to National Events; and take part in Chapter activities promoted by the National APA

Motivate members to volunteer on National Governmental Panels, and in National Educational Activities where available.

Networking Opportunities:

Representing a diverse collection of For-Profit, Non-Profit, Governmental, Retail, Gaming, Energy, and other organizations; our chapter has a vast wealth of knowledge to share with other payroll professionals in the region.

Sharing opportunities and skills within the organizations which we represent, employers and members benefit from trained professionals specializing in various aspects of payroll who can share their expertise with others within the chapter

Philanthropic involvement in the community through semi-annual fund raising or other charitable offerings (i.e.; Toys 4 Tots, Santa Cops, Water Drive, etc.). December 2016, member collected almost 100 lbs of food for CAPK, a local organization.
